Extensive site analysis, concept exploration and negotiation with the Environment Agency to deliver a planning-friendly development option for a high flood risk urban site.

Our client approached us for help in finding a marketable solution to an un-sellable site. This large but heavily compromised plot in North West London ran alongside a shallow section of the River Brent which was designated a flood plain by the specialists Agency. Through detailed analysis and input from external specialists, we were able to prove that a portion of the site was of lower risk of flooding and therefore available for development. The final concept accepted in principle by the local authority was for a high-spec community building which then successfully marketed and sold.
